Windows 10 Security Against Fake Tech Support Scammers

"According to Microsoft, Edge is able to stop dialog loops as it allows the user to block a specific page from creating more pages. Additionally, the software tech giant is also looking forward to create a feature for the Edge browser to allow users to close specific tabs or the browser itself in the event when there is a dialog or popup message."

Tech Support Scammer Asks if I'm Using Windows 9!

"I get a call early in the morning from a guy named Charlie (aka. Raj) claiming to be from Microsoft telling me my computer has the virus called Code Red. I decide that Charlie needs to have an hour of his day wasted because you guys need entertainment and these scammers need to be taken down. If you encounter a scammer collect as much info as possible and report them to the FBI @ http://tips.fbi.com."

Don't try to scam an ex-Microsoft employee, or this will happen!

Scamming the scammers -- catching the virus call centre scammers red-handed

"Ever have one of those calls from the other side of the world where the person at the other end of the phone claims your PC has got a virus and they can fix it up for you? I had one recently and played along with the operator while recording the episode, right up until they want to take remote control of the machine. But it left me wondering; what happens once they get control? So I decided to call them back and let them do *whatever* they wanted while recording both screen and audio."

Email Service Support Scam | 758 Viruses on clean install of Windows 7

"In this one the Scammer uses the usual scamming techniques and attempts to convince me that I have '758 Trojans' on my VM. The Scammer also lies about stopped services and cliams my VM is in a 'Critical' state. When I confronted him he was adamant that this was 'not a scam' and they offer a legitimate service."

Tech- scammer asks for $1200 for non-existing problems. (key-logged)

"Rob Marks gets a BINGO with a tech scammer! The scammer has difficulty trying to get my card info through his stupid website, so i key-logged that bastard. If you want to see the fake site, it's: http://www.okaytechpay.com/plans.html"

SCAMMER WEARS ME OUT TAKING SO LONG

"This video was 40 minutes long until I edited out the dead spots where he was running Super Anti Spyware. When he tried to run the scannow command I could not take it anymore and closed the windows. I could not wait for him to complete the scam and called him out."

Tech-scammers hates my "secured edition" notepad scheme and tries to sys...

"Tech-scammers hate it when I use my 'secured edition' notepad to type in my card details, because all he sees are asterisks (****), so he attempts to syskey my Virtual Machine and fails! The scammer was key-logged during this session."

Tech Support Scammer | Gets mad and attempts to put Syskey on VM

Fake Tech Support Scammer Made Speechless

"Got home and I was called by a tech support scammer. Quickly whipped out my phone and a VM and decided to screw around with him. He was trying to encrypt all my files or make it so that I have to pay a ransom. Also the programs he made me get seemed fishy... Anyways I showed him that everything he was trying to fool me with was wrong, and he was absolutely stuck. He spent at least 20 minutes talking to his supervisor or other scammers that he works with."

Who is behind a pop-up scam?

"Video now truncated as this is part of an ongoing police investigation called Operation Thistle:

Popup scammers: Uncovering the nest

"In one week in May 2016, I was shocked to discover that the phone numbers seen on fake malware popups are fronted by many different organisations who seem to take shifts of receiving calls from their victims. This video describes what I uncovered when I lifted the lid on these scam popups."

Tech scammers... get your story straight!

"Another day, another tech support scam. This time, a UK Freefone number (08000588296) appeared on a fake virus pop-up. I couldn't resist calling them

"I do my usual thing of letting the scammers access a safe playpen (a virtual machine isolated from my real machine) and record their network activity using Wireshark.

"The 08000588296 number and the U.S. number +1(844)525-6095 routes to Jaipur in India. Shame that 'Kevin' still insists he's sitting in California :)"

Scammer arrests and why this might be the tip of the iceberg.

"My comments on the scammer arrests in Mumbai. Is this the tip of the iceberg?"

Locating the Tech Support scammers Part 3: Following the money

"This is part 3 of 'Locating the Tech Support Scammers'. I was able to find out how the scammers channeled money from the UK back to India."

Locating the Tech support scammers - Part 2

"This is a follow-up to part 1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKhD7pF59WE) when I record their fraud in detail. The second part describes how I went from an IP address to naming and shaming the Call Centre behind the fraud. There is also a 3rd part where I follow where the money led: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxaIucFh_-g

"Warning: aribacallcenter.in now points to a scam site which attemtpts to download fake flash updates :("

Microsoft or tech support scam - Locating the scammers

I set up a virtual PC to capture the IP address of a scammer then used this IP address to identify the people behind the scam. Sorry for the abrupt ending; I really only intended their ISP to use this and react quickly, so there's little explanation of what I'm doing. See here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGY7UQji2go or a bit more background and a description of this setup. There is also a Part 3 where I follow where the money went: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxaIucFh_-g

"The scammers IP address was 223.29.201.210 on 11/02/2015 @ 17:30 IST. The IP address is confirmed to be the 'Ariba Call Center' and they are a customer of MeghbelaBroadband in Kolkata, India. Part 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jllY-8oBsso
) describes how I got from the IP address to the Call Centre.

"'Ariba Call Centre' is located at
22 Ashutosh Chowdary Ave, Ballygunge Park, Ballygunge Kolkata, West Bengal 700019 India‎
Direct phone number: +91 33 6503 3033
Email: aribacallcenter@gmail.com
Web: http://www.aribacallcenter.in
Their website was taken offline for a day after I published the name of the call centre. They claimed that this was for 'renewal' reasons. When it reappeared, they removed the links to their directors accounts Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media. I've reproduced these links below. The site changed again the following day to remove yet more details about the company directors and to remove details of their (legitimate) customers. I guess they fear that this exposure will damage their revenues. So here is a reminder of the original website: http://imgur.com/a/ZHpzW#0 (or just use a Google cache)

"Their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/aribacallcenter was also removed this once their scam was rumbled on 14/04/2015. Copy of their FB pages here: http://imgur.com/a/9Ag1r#0

"Ariba seem to be a real call center with legitimate customers, but their employees seem to enjoy a scamming sideline and have set up sites like http://techconsultancy.services and http://TheTechnicalz.com (note that the latter is identical bar the logo and domain name). See here to compare: http://imgur.com/gallery/7eVxBq1. I'm sure it's a sheer coincidence that the Technicalz site became unavailable at exactly the same time that Ariba took down their own website and Facebook entry, however the domain registration tells its own story: http://who.is/whois/thetechnicalz.com (look at the history just in case Ariba re-register the domain).

"Since I published their details, Ariba have carefully removed the UK and US phone numbers from their http://techconsultancy.services site. The phone numbers were UK: +44 116-318-4211 and US: +1 551-226-6078. Related phone numbers are +44 116-318-2304 and +1 212-456-7893. You can still see the numbers looking at the HTML source, a Google cache or this snapshot from 13/04/2015: http://imgur.com/gallery/7eVxBq1

"If you look below at the comments, you'll see a reply from Ariba Call Center. Needless to say ACC did not respond to my evidence nor did they answer any questions. They claim that 'our IP is being hacked and used by someone else to do fraud activities'. Instead of thanking me (if it was a 'hacker' like they claim), they chose to remove all social media the links to their directors, remove their Facebook pages, remove the phone numbers from their scamming websites and accused me of 'stalking' them! Bear in mind they phoned me. I'll let you draw your own conclusions as to their responsibility for this scam. They removed their comments in June 2016, but I archived this too: http://pastebin.com/FKPnxPp3

"Full audio, video and wireshark traces available to any authorities who need them.

"Another YouTuber has reported capturing the scam from another IP address in the Ariba Call Centre (223.29.202.248 on 20/05/2015), so the scammers are still up and running :("

Getting a Scammer Fired!

"In this video, I called a tech support scammer. He eventually finds out I am a scambaiter and swears at me and hangs up. I then call back and get very lucky because I get his boss on the phone. I tell him that one of his technicians swore at me, and that is probably the end of this scammer's 'career'. It was surprising that the boss didnt just call me a madarchod and then hang up."

How much money do tech scammers make?

"I got access to the merchant account of tech scammers WetechConsultants.com (Quatrro BPO) and their profits are staggering. I found out just how many victims they ripped off and why they're keen to keep their scams going."

Are tech support scammers really this stupid?

"I discovered that scammers are not very smart when it comes to covering their tracks. Their fake software had their names all over it..."

The Systweak company also brands its name on this phony software. It has generated "errors" not only on my virtual machine right after I created it, but after I did several malware scans that indicated 2 errors at the most. One error was this software itself.

"The crazy thing about this guy in particular is that he is the first scammer I've seen that uses Bitcoin to have people pay. He also puts his own password on their Circle account so that he can potentially buy up more bitcoins without the person knowing.

"Bitcoin is almost completely anonymous, and 100% non-refundable."

Anyone who gets scammed by this guy using Bitcoin would most likely never be able to convince their bank to refund the money, since Circle charges the card as if it was a "cash withdraw."

"Tech 24x7" Tech Support Scam | Thank you for calling Shanghai Travel Ag...

"This scammer had an out of date website from 2011 and was a very typical tech support scammer, Lied about the services in msconfig and the logs in event viewer, Told me that Comodo was not a security even though The program is literally called 'Comodo Internet Security.' Then she lied about Network Access Protection. After all this she said hackers were trying to get into my pc and finally she ran the Tree command in CMD and said she was scanning the computer, While she was typing here fake message I kept pressing enter and typed 'No Threats Detected' after this she tried to put a syskey on and that didn't go over very well :)"

"This scam company performed the scams we have all saw more than once. He lied and said that event viewer contained infections. He said that normal disabled services are not normally disabled, Then lied and did the tree command in cmd and said he was 'scanning the network' and typed, koobface trojan found, then the usual netstat scam were he said that there were foreign ip addresses connected, when if you look at what's connected it stuff like teamviewer and normal connected services."

"softwaresupport.us" fake tech support scam | "A Level 5 IP Programmer"

"This company created a fake BSOD pop-up, I talked to like three different people in this call and the first one got pissed and hung up. They performed the dir /s command and said they were scanning my computer which is a lie the dir command lists certain directories. Then they ran the usual tree command stating the same thing that they were scanning my computer. The first lady tired to also put a syskey on the system that went over real well for her ;) and then of course the koobface and msconfig scam."

SCAM ALERT: Attorney General Chris Carr Warns of New Twist on Microsoft Tech Support Scam

December 6, 2016

ATLANTA, GA – Attorney General Chris Carr is warning consumers about a new twist on a technical support scam in which people pose as representatives from Microsoft. The scammers are taking the scheme a step further this time. See below for a detailed outline of their process:

The scammer calls the consumer, posing as a Microsoft representative, to tell them something is wrong with their computer but fixable through a payment of a few hundred dollars.
The scammer obtains personal account information to charge the victim’s credit card (sometimes repeatedly) for its “computer repair.”
The scammer then calls back a few weeks later saying, “Unfortunately, the attempted repair was unsuccessful.”

As a courtesy, the scammer offers to refund the amount the consumer paid, and he/she asks the consumer to provide bank information to deposit the money directly into their account.
The scammer then “mistakenly” sends $3,000 instead of $300 to the account and asks the consumer to wire back the $2,700 overpayment.
Because the money was transferred right into the consumer’s account, the scheme creates a false sense of safety, and the consumer wires the excess funds right back.
It isn’t until later that the consumer, now victim, finds out where the $3,000 payment came from in the first place—their own credit card from the original phone call which was used to get a $3,000 cash advance.

VindowsLocker's ransom note. The ransomware encrypts a variety of files and adds the .vindows extension to them.

Tech support scammers have started using ransomware

"Unlike most previous tech support schemes, this one tells the truth: the computer IS actually infected, with the so-called VindowsLocker ransomware.
"The message it shows after encrypting the files (and adding the .vindowsextension to them) is somewhat bizarre:
"'this not microsoft vindows support. we have locked your files with the zeus virus. do one thing and call level 5 microsoft support technician at 1-844-609-3192. you will files back for a one time charge of $349.99.'
"Users who call the offered number will get a tech support scammer in India, and the scammer will direct them towards a payment page/custom web form which the victims are required to fill out.
"The form requests the users’ email, date of birth, social security number, credit card type, number, expiration date, CVV, and the amount that they need to pay. As far as I can tell, the scammers are after information that can be used to make fraudulent payments at a later date.
"According to Malwarebytes, even if the victim provides this information, they won’t be receiving a decryption key from the crooks. That’s because the ransomware abuses Pastebin’s API to deliver encryption keys to the crooks by making a private post on Pastebin.
“'The author’s intention was to fetch the keys from Pastebin by logging in to their account and later selling them to the victims,' the researchers explained.
“'However, they misunderstood the Pastebin API (they hardcoded a user_key) that was meant to be used for a single session. After the predefined period of time, the key expired. That’s why the pasties were assigned to "a Guest", rather than to a specific account. Retrieving them in this intended way became no longer possible.'
"But, luckily for the victims, the ransomware uses only symmetric cryptography and all of their files are encrypted using the same key. And thanks to some implementation mistakes by the malware’s authors, Malwarebytes experts were able to create a decryptor tool.
"It’s a combination of two command line tools: one for discovering the specific key with which the victim’s files have been encrypted, and the second one to use it to decrypt the files. For more in-depth instruction on how to use it, check out this blog post.
"It’s not known how the ransomware-cum-tech support scam is delivered to victims’ computers."

Tech Support Scammers Play "Pass The Victim"

Tech Support Scammer - Fake Tree Command and Scammer Loses It

(Someone from "Systweak" actually did this to me.)

"Skip to 16:00 to see the scammer totally lose it.

"This is a test run of a fake 'tree' command I programmed as a combination of a simple .NET program and a batch file. Hopefully I'll extend some of it's functionality to include some other commonly used commands like 'netstat' and such."

My mom got the Fake Tech Scammer BIG TIME!

"This is a long video. It is on purpose, because it is important to show how we gain the scammers confidence before it is revealed it is a scam. In the end the scammer admits it is a scam and tell some very interesting things about www.myphonesupport.com "

"Guruaid" Tech Support Scam | Lying about Temp Files

"In this one I call up a known Tech Support Scam business named 'Guruaid'. I first off apologize about the poor audio quality in this one as the background noise of the Scammer effected the clarlity of hearing me throughout the call. The Scammer in this one pulls a number of known tricks and social engineering tactics to attempt to convince me that my VM has problems. She lies about the Temp Folder and also about my Firewall not being enabled. Alongside this she also lies about there being 'fake programs' on my VM which is simply not true. When I eventually confront her she is quick to attempt to clear her name and her companies'. She alongside this also questions why I called her and got quite angry at the response."

"Online Solutions Network" Tech Support Scam | Hindi Insult Battle!

"In this one I call up another Tech Support Scam company named 'Online Solutions Network' who have been making fake BSOD pop-ups in an attempt to lure victims. In this call I talked to two Scammers one of which I believe was from a separate department who indeed started a support session and then I was eventually transferred to the Technician who then started another remote session at one time with another software. The Scammer went on to lie about hackers in my VM and also about my PC being infected by a so-called "Trojan". Further to this the Scammer also lied about stopped services and also claimed my Network was infected when it is not. When I eventually confronted the Scammer he was quick to defend himself and went to extent at the end of the call of insulting me in Hindi. Shortly after that final confrontation he simply disconnected obviously unwilling to defend his behaviour or his technical ability."

"Yodacare" Tech Support Scam | The most pathetic Scammer ever!

"In this one I call up a known Scam company named 'Yodacare' which I have covered extensively in the past. The Scammer in this was belief ridiculous and had to be prompted by self to go through the original Scamming script. The lazy Scammer only attempted to show me stopped services in Msconfig and nothing else. He also claimed that the 'Build 9600' message at the bottom of the screen was a problem. After going through his short fake diagnosis he quickly requested money for his companies' fake services. Mere seconds after confronting him he disconnected obviously unwilling to argue or defend his position further."

Confronting Fake Tech Support | Scammer threatens to shutdown my PC from Windows Server

"Another example of Tech Support Scammers who claim to be from Microsoft."

"Repair All PC LLC" Tech Support Scam | Questionable Software

"In this one I call up Repair All PC LLC who pull off the usual techniques and attempt to scam me out money. The Scammer runs the usual Tree Command and attempts to persuade me that I have the 'Koobface' Virus installed on my VM. He also goes on to claim that I have 'No Network Protection' installed on my system. He later uses a 'Potentially Unwanted Program' (PUP) to scan my Computer for Identity issues and problems. After I confront him he attempts to put a Syskey on my system and disconnects the call. Afterwards, I call back and to talk to the Supervisor who further explains how his company 'is not a scam.'"

Email Service Support Scam | 758 Viruses on clean install of Windows 7

"In this one the Scammer uses the usual scamming techniques and attempts to convince me that I have '758 Trojans"' on my VM. The Scammer also lies about stopped services and cliams my VM is in a 'Critical' state. When I confronted him he was adamant that this was 'not a scam' and they offer a 'legitimate service.'"

Fake Tech Support Scammer Steals My Bank Password then Trashes my PC

"I have been missing my tech support scammers so I gave them a call the other night. Kept Mary on the phone for 40 minutes then told her I was getting my credit card. I never came back to the phone and the tech support scammer decided to steal my bank password and trash my PC."

SCAMMER GETS EXPOSED

(She really owned him!)

"'Brian Schmitt' called the phone four times and refused to remove her from their calling list before the recording started. "Sevenmonies" Tech Support Scam | Scammer Technical Difficulties

"In this one the Scammer pulls the usual tricks and attempts to pursuade me that I have 'Koobface' on my system. She also runs the usual Msconfig tricks alongside lying about hackers on my VM. 24 Minutes. IT Scammer vs IT department. The day he tried to phone scam an IT expert...

"Long video but worth it to see how the scammer reacted when he was rumbled :)

"This is a very common IT phone Scam but unfortunately the phone scammer didn't realise he was calling an IT department. We decided to play the 'game' of a non-IT user before exposing him as a Scam. There is some information on the Scam itself at the end of the film.

"Note: These scammers will invest a lot of time just to get what they want. Even with all the obvious jokes and blatant insults they still carried on trying. The phone call was a total of 24 minutes but we only started recording part way through. We had already had a conversation about a firewall, in which we related it to the wall outside the house. This person thought he was dealing with a complete thicko by this time.

"Hope you enjoy. We did!"

Hilarious "Windows support" scammer calls Linux user and loses his temper!

"Fast forward to 17 minutes if you don't have as much patience as I do!

"One day, out of the blue, I received a phone call from someone I immediately identified as a scammer. You know, the kind of people who try their best to remote into your computer and do evil things. The scammer knew my name, so they had obviously searched for victims using publicly available information. My phone was connected to my own asterisk (phone server), and I knew I had set up a command to record calls. However, I wasn't able to recall the combination from my memory. So while chatting with this very nice (haha) Windows professional, I was frantically trying to ssh into my server to find the key combination.

"Bear in mind that this conversation was totally unexpected on my part, and thus unscripted. What you hear is the unedited conversation between a couple of Indian scammers and me, a Linux user. At the time I hadn't used a Windows computers in many years, so I didn't know what to expect in terms of dialog boxes and such.

"Unfortunately I was unable to recall the right keypad combination to start the recording, so what you hear is the second half of the conversation. I must admit the first scammer was extremely patient with me as I was trying to do things as slowly as possible. Actually there must have been three scammers, but I didn't notice the change as I had the phone lying on the table while I was logging into my asterisk server to check the key combination to start the recorder. What you hear is the second scammer, then the third scammer towards the end of the recording."

SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PHONE TECH SCAMMER GETS INTO YOUR COMPUTER

"This is a cold call I got from a tech support scammer. Luckily I was able to keep him on the phone long enough to power up my vm. This video is so long because I did not edit or cut anything out so that people who watch this can see what they do from start to finish. After I told him I knew it was a scam he tried to put a syskey on my machine. When that did not work he deleted everything on my desktop. I had a snapshot so it did not matter. If you know anyone who might be susceptible to these scam calls please share this video with them so they can see what really happens when they give access to their computer. I call him out as a scammer at 37:34 on the timeline. That is me clearing the event viewer logs and Chrome history at the beginning of the video."

"Virus Support" Tech Support Scam | A Very Tame Scammer

"In this one I call up a Tech Support Scam company named 'Virus Support' which attempted to pull a very similar Scam to others. The Scammer in one pulled the usual tricks and made a number of questionable remarks. Firstly, he thought "VMware" was my PC manufacturer and didn't persume it was a Virtual Machine. The Scammer then went in to Event Viewer and lied outright about the Errors and Warnings contained he there. He misrepresented them as a 'Trojans' when they clearly were not. He shortly after went into Msconfig and lied about Stopped Services and said this was just to the 'Trojans' being on my system. He then asked me to pay $315 to fix non-existent problems on my VM. When I refused and confronted him he remained extremely relaxed and was not aggressive like others Scammers I've confronted. He also as usual declined the idea that this was a Scam. Shortly, after I disconnected the call knowing he wasn't keen on taking the argument any further."

Fake Windows Tech Support | Scammer fights back with useless threats

"In this one the first Scammer uses the usual scamming techniques and runs the Netstat Command and claims I have infections within my Network. She also lies about stopped services in Msconfig and also in Event Viewer. When I began to pressure her slightly on the claims she quickly leaves the line still connected to my VM. The second Scammer I spoke to carried out similar tactics and further cliamed how I had Network infections on my computer and lied about Network Access Protection (NAP) and also about the SSL Certificates. He further lied about my Drivers being stopped. When I finally confronted him he became extremely aggressive and made many useless threats he clearly could not carry out. He cliamed he knew my location and when prompted he said I was located in California which is incorrect. He later continued cursing and making threats until he disconnected the call.

"Unfortunately, I was unable to find out the companies name and they simply just called themselves 'Microsoft' which they clearly are not.

He then claims that my Network is infected and I need to pay money for programs to fix this. Further to this he also lies about Event Viewer saying they are due to Hackers on my VM which is untrue. After I expose him he admits he is a Scammer and goes in a rage and attempts to delete my C:/ Drive and also attempts to boot my VM into Safe Mode and fails. He then threatens to infect my C:/ Drive with Malware and after a period of back and for conversation he hangs up eventually clearly in a rage."

"Live-Technician" Tech Support Scam Call | "We will track you down"

"In this one I cover 'Live-Technician' a proven Scam company firstly exposed by ScammerRevolts. The Scammer has difficulty connecting to my VM due to GoToAssist refusing to run on Windows Vista. He then attempts to get me to boot into Safe Mode to connect to him. However, I believe in Safe Mode the same problem would persist. Shortly after I confront him he begins to get angry with me. He continually raises his voice and begins insulting both me and the US. He further makes reference to him 'Tracking me down' and passing my information to the 'IT Guy'. He also made mild reference to hacking my Network at some point. Shortly after he hung up on me I re-dialed and had a short conversation with an Agent before he disconnected the call clearly angry about the Scam accusation I gave him."

"Tech Support America"/"Compute My PC" Tech Support Scam | "We are from Microsoft"

He also went on to lie about stopped services and also lied about Event Viewer Errors and Warnings. He later passed me on to another company named 'Compute My PC' who I believe is an affiliate of 'Tech Support America'. Shortly after I confronted the Agent he ran off not willing to talk."

"Brother Tech U.S." "RW Global" fake tech support scam | Beyond the Payment

"This tech support scammer was one of the stupidest scammers I have ever dealt with over and over and over again we lost connection to LogMeIn because he kept closing firefox. "LB Solutionss" Tech Support Scam | $1299.99 For Problems that don't exist

"This fake tech support company was sent in to me for creating fake Windows Pop-Ups saying that your personal information may have been leaked. This scammer was a very typical scammer, Lied about Windows Defender not working when really it was just disabled because Comodo was the primary anti-virus. He lied and went into msinfo and said the normal disabled services are not supposed to be disabled, Then went on to say normal logs in msinfo were not supposed to be there and indicate issues with the computer. After this scam he went into CMD and ran the Tree command and changed the text color to red to make it look more real. Then before he was finished typing his fake messages the 'Scan' finished and he was still typing his fake message that the network firewall was missing and drivers were stopped. Finally after all this he wanted me to pay for a fake plan. I told him I would go for the 10 year plan and he got all excited and then offered me the life time plan. Since there 'payment gateway' wasn't working they started 'working' on my computer, All he did was snoop around in msinfo and programs and features, create a logmein session and run malwarebytes, Nothing related to system drivers or the 'Firewall' which both of these things had nothing wrong with them in the first place."

Nyxology Tech Support Scam | "I'm selling services to stupid people like you"

"This company was a very typical tech support scam. He lied about the services in msconfig saying that normal disabled services need to be running, He went into the window prefetch folder and inf folder lying and saying all the files were infections. The next scam he did, he lied and said he was 'scanning for viruses' when really all he was doing was running the dir /s command which list directories in the computer. He lied and said that the events in event viewer were 'blocked infections' when really they were normal computer logs found in any computer. Once I confronted them they wrote "F@@k U Suck My D@@k" on the screen and as I suspected they had no way to defend themselves."

This Actually Happened Today....

At 4:12 pm I got a call from 952-440-2443. The woman who had an Indian accent claimed to be from "Windows Technical Department ." She said my computer was "transmitting errors."
I asked if she worked for Microsoft and she said she was "under Microsoft." Then I asked if she was a Microsoft employee. She said yes. I asked where was she located. She said Las Vegas, Nevada. I asked what time was it there. After a few moments she said "12:15 am."
Funny. Las Vegas is on Pacific time. The time in Vegas was 4:15 pm.
Not only are these people scammers, they are very bad and stupid liars who got my cell number somehow.
If they get any number from me when they want to go into my virtual machine, it is my Google number.
